We’re BACK
Happy New Year Web3 Metal community. I hope you all had a great 2023 holiday to close out the year. Let's jump into a new year that promises to be full of innovations that will affect the music industry forever.
With the new year comes an updated mission to start a PR branch of Web3 Metal, SSP Media. The truth is, there are tons of music journalism sites out there, and to maintain the project I needed to hit 2024 with a stronger monetization plan. Let's face it, Web3 Metal is an extreme niche, and objective journalism makes ZERO money.
As a PR and marketing agency, SSP Media will utilize my blockchain experience and connections as a writer and social media manager to help plan, create and market web3 experiences for artists and projects embracing the next wave of digital technology. Together, we are building towards a whole new way of experiencing music and connecting with fans.
The newsletter itself will see a change as well. While we'll continue sending the latest news and music releases straight into your inbox every week, during the first quarter of 2024 we will start segmenting issues into two categories, blockchain and AI.
While it is true that these two industries are on a collision course promising to culminate at the future of the internet, for now the two industries are majorly siloied off from one another. Additonally, projects that do have plans to utilize both technologies aren’t actively updating the blockchain aspects of their roadmaps.
Occam’s Razor says the crypto bear market is to blame for this slow down. If the market flipped tomorrow I believe those hibernating projects would restart development immediately. Off the back of that, projects in the AI industry will then have a new incentive to build aspects of their projects that also embrace blockchain technology.
Will this vision become a reality? Only time will tell, and I’m excited to be here on the journey with you all.

Created by the German AI company Musical Bits, the Metalverse is a digital representstion of the imaginitive world from which their AI metal band reside. Each and every piece of music was created by curating generative AI assets created and owned by the company.
Ownership of ‘land’ in the Metalverse will be utilized with blockchain technology, with each plot of land being represented by an NFT fans can own and use towards unannounced special abilities and access. Each section of the map will birth a new original band specializing in their own unique genre of metal.
In fact, in a previous issue we covered another Musical Bits Metalverse band sure to hit full force come 2024, The Heatseekers.
As soon as the market heats up, we hope to hear more about the utility available for those who own the land and how else the team plans to implement blockchain technology into this amazing AI metal music project.
